This lake is so wonderful. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Lower Woodcock Lake. Crystal Mountain is a very popular ski area in the neighborhood, and a spree to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is recommended. Do pop by Upper Woodcock Lake close to Lower Woodcock Lake, it's a wonderful lake, and Lower Woodcock Lake       is a good site to visit for more than one day, Sunnywoods Platte River is a good site to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Harvey Lake is a nearby lake that you could pop by, and if you need a place to stay Best Western Scenic Hill Resort is a magnificent choice. The warmest time of the year at Lower Woodcock Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 50's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the                  20's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Lower Woodcock Lake temperatures drop to the 10's. Homestead has glorious slopes and a friendly staff; Lower Woodcock Lake is a site with many visitors from Traverse City.
