Alcona Park is a good campground nearby; after a long day outdoors Tawas Bay Beach Resort is a good place to spend a night or two. All through the summer months here at Loud Dam Pond, high temperatures generally reach the 80's, and all through       the night it cools down to the 50's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 20's with temperatures at Loud Dam Pond dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful.
