Why not camp at Bobcat Lake Campground since you're here at Lost Lake; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Lake of the Clouds. Not far from Lost Lake, you'll come across Mirror Lake which is a charming lake, and you can run       the rapids of Little Iron River. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Ontonagon County Park Campground and Picnic Area, and get your pulse rate up on the splendid whitewater of Union River. All through the warmest time of the year here at Lost Lake, high temperatures regularly reach the 70's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. Highs all through the wintertime are typically in the 10's; night lows                  in the-10's for Lost Lake. All year is a magnificent time in the Gogebic Range if you like the outdoors. Really great skiing awaits you at Indianhead; why not a little side journey to Lost Creek. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Lost Lake; Alligator Eye Trail is a glorious local trail; Trap Falls is always fun to check out. An average amount of rainfall falls at Lost Lake; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
