Not far from Lost Lake, you'll find Sis Lake which is a beautiful lake, and there is a wonderful hiking trail nearby called the Newaygo County Snowmobile Trail. Bear Creek is a beautiful stream that is worth going to; going for a hike on the North Country National Scenic Trail is always a fine adventure. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Lost Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, White River Roughing Area Campground is a good local campground. An average amount of rainfall falls at Lost Lake; through August this area sees the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's; overnight lows all through the wintertime for Lost Lake tend to be in the 10's. There's so much to do here at Lost Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Putman Lake Camping is a glorious location for that; dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn BIG RAPIDS.

Croton Dam Float Trips

Rustic Camping also available on a limited basis. As of April 15, 2009 we have two seasonal electric sites available for rent this season. Rate is $700. 00 for the year. Our camping rates nightly are $12. 00 for non-power sites and $15. 00 for electrical sites. No running water/hand pump. No dump station. Outhouses and porta- potties in the busy summer season.
Excellent smallmouth & largemouth bass, northern pike, and walleye fishing on the backwaters to Croton Dam and also north about 5 miles on the backwaters of Hardy Dam. Spring steelhead runs, rainbow & german brown trout, and fall salmon runs down on the river itself below the dam.
We do not offer river services for the Little Muskegon River.
