     Waterfront Inn is a glorious place to get some rest, and there are other spots here than Lost Lake, for example Galloway Lake. High temperatures at Lost Lake during the summer are in the 70's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are regularly in the 20's with temperatures at Lost Lake dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Sturgeon River, and  
   great skiing awaits you at Nubs Nob.
There's so much to do here at Lost Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Mackinaw Koa Kampground is a delightful spot for that. Lakes? Sure, Sherett Lake is nearby. So many enjoyable things near Lost Lake, completely amazing. If you need a spot to stay Americas Best Value Inn/Mackinaw City is a nice choice, and Boyne Highlands has brilliant slopes and a friendly staff. From a rain point of view Lost Lake is a
 
               reasonably typical place; during the month of September you get the most rain around here, and February on the other hand is the driest.
Lost Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Mackinaw City Camping is a good local campground, and great hiking is available along the Horseshoe Bay Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Bear River offers some perfect whitewater, and a round of golf at nearby Wilderness Golf Course is a good way to kill some time.
