Camping is available at Wagner Lake Campground; a great nearby hotel is Super 8 Motel - West Branch. Not far from Loon Lake, you'll locate Lost Lake which is a delightful lake, and a golf course close by is Sidewinder Golf Course. Loon Lake is a good site of common rain; during the month of August you get the most rain around here; February on the other hand is       the driest. After a long day outdoors Quality Inn West Branch is a good spot to spend a night or two. Why not camp at Mio Pine Acres Campground since you're here at Loon Lake, and Timberline Mountain is scenic and can be made out from here. Summer at Loon Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's.
