Man, is there lots of fun things to do close to Long Pond. After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Mt. Pleasant, Mi is a good spot to spend a night or two, and if you need a site to stay MAXFIELDS INN is a good choice. For the duration of the summertime, highs usually       are in the 80's at Long Pond, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. For the duration of the winter the highs are regularly in the 20's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Long Pond plunge into the 0's. Chippewa River has a pleasant whitewater paddling spot nearby, and needless to say, this is a perfect area for people who like lakes, Barnard Lake is a lake nearby. A normal amount of rainfall falls here at Long Pond;                  during the month of September you get the most rain around here; the driest month of the year is February. Coldwater River flows through this vicinity, and for you golfers we recommend nearby The Pines Golf Course Department. This lake is so wonderful. Long Pond is not far at all from Mount Pleasant.
