Any time is a fine time at Long Lake if you have a thing about the outdoors. While you're here at Long Lake you can take a hike along the Norway Ridge Trail, and Days Inn Alpena is a fine spot to get some rest. Camping is available at Campers Cove RV and Campground, and a fine close by hotel is Holiday Inn ALPENA. The amount of precipitation       that falls at Long Lake is close to the national average; through the month of August you get the most rain around here; February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Thunder Bay RV Park and Campground is a great spot to camp; it's a magnificent idea to go to Fitzgerald Creek. Lakes are such peaceful spots, why not have a look at Mindack Lake next to Long Lake, and on a great day you can take a hike along                  the Devils Lake Trail. High temperatures at Long Lake during the summer are in the 70's with night lows in the 50's.
