Horseshoe Lake is nearby; if you like skiing, you're in luck; Marquette is quite near. Long Lake is a good place to visit for more than one day, Country Village RV Park is a good place to camp nearby, and since you're here you will meet lots of folks from nearby Marquette. What a place this is for outdoors folks. Get soaked paddling on Carp River; if you need a spot to stay Days Inn Marquette is a brilliant       choice. At Long Lake through the summertime months highs are in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. Highs throughout the wintertime are commonly in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Long Lake dip into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. City Of Marquette is a good campground nearby, and whitewater paddling is brilliant on Dead River. McClure Dam is an interesting thing to check out, and you're most likely                  into lakes, McClure Storage Basin is one of those close by. This lake is so wonderful. From a precipitation point of view Long Lake is a relatively typical spot; September is when you get the most rain here, and February is the month with the least moisture.
