The amount of rain that falls at Long Lake is close to the national average; the month of September is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is February. Be careful coming to Long Lake, you might not ever want to return home again. If you want to hit the beach, Crystal Beach is in the vicinity; Budget Host Alpine Motor Lodge - Manistee Onekama is a pleasant       place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Onkeonwe Beach is close to Long Lake if you're in a beach type of mood, and don't forget to take a tremendous little visit to Round Lake Creek. High temperatures at Long Lake through the summertime months are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Long Lake. You could also pop                  by Round Lake if you're here at Long Lake; it's close by, and hey, Gotta ski right? Homestead is a magnificent site to do that. Do schedule some time to stop by Hurdmans Bay close to Long Lake if you have a chance, and the slopes of Crystal Mountain are so inviting nobody can resist. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Long Lake has to offer, you can camp at Crystalaire Camp; if you need a site to stay Best Western Scenic Hill Resort is a nice choice. There's so much to do here at Long Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Betsie River Campsite is a brilliant place for that, and Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is a splendid local destination. Nearby lakes?
