Lakes are great; Long Lake is a lake that's close to Little Bear Lake, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Treetops Sylvan. This lake is so wonderful. This is a great neighborhood for folks who like lakes. Duck Lake is a lake in the neighborhood; after a long day outdoors Treetops Resort is a good place to spend a night or two. Treetops Sylvan

Snowboarders are welcome at Treetops. They are allowed on the entire ski area and have a new terrain park with 12 features for their own private use.The new terrain park contains 2 flat 10' beginner rails as well as a 20' intermediate round rail. There are some challenging additions such as a beginner 16' battle ship kinked rail as well as a 16' intermediate rainbow rail. In addition, there are man-made and natural jib features such as barrels, and logs that can be used to slide or jump over or tap with skis or boards. Nordic enthusiasts will find the ''Midwest's best terrain'' for cross-country skiing. The 12 km of groomed and tracked trails are all clearly marked and range in difficulty from beginner to expert.
