Stay the night at Blodgett Landing, and dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn BIG RAPIDS. And that's not all you can do here at Lincoln Lake. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Caberfae Peaks, and if you've had enough of Lincoln Lake, Austin Lake is nearby. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Lincoln Lake has to offer, you can camp at Hammarstead Lake Camp Ground, and Super 8 Big Rapids MI is a good

Lincoln Lake gets a common amount of rainfall; September is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Pine River is so much fun, and you'll possibly meet some folks from Big Rapids here. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Spring Valley Golf Course is in close proximity, obviously you could also check out Todd Lake while you're here; it's | |

High temperatures at Lincoln Lake throughout the summertime are in the 70's. Summer night lows plunge down to the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 20's; after the sun is down all through
the wintertime temperatures at Lincoln Lake descend into the 0's. Indian Creek is a stream that you may come across while you're here, and if the weather is delightful, you can go for a hike along the Hungerford Cross Country Ski Trail.

We had picked the pine river to canoe in the summer of 2004 and were told a good rustic campground would be a good choice. As it turned out it was by far the best camp site I had ever stayed in and had a great time. Our site happened to be next to the river with a great view, secluded and close to the river. I would highly recommend this campground for access to the pine river. Great canoeing, kayaking, fishing, etc. swimming... |

Actually, the best paddling on the Pine River is below Lincoln, and especially in the section from Dobson Bridge to Low Bridge (approximately 21 miles). there are numerous CI rapids from about 20 minutes US from Dobson to about 20 minutes US from Low Bridge. Unfortunately, due to livery traffic the river is kept cleared to excess. Most of the leaning trees and logjams that make padding interesting have been removed so the drunken rental boat paddlers don't get into trouble.... |
