The annual precipitation here at Lime Lake is about average; September is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. Lime Lake is a fine place to visit for more than one day, Leelanau Pines is a fine place to camp nearby; Great Wolf Lodge Traverse City is a magnificent spot to get some rest. Summertime at Lime Lake arrives with high temperatures       in the 80's. Summer overnight lows descend down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and overnight lows all through the winter for Lime Lake tend to be in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Sugarloaf Mountain is clearly visible from Lime Lake. Lime Lake in fact is in the middle of a scenic outdoors paradise. Lime Lake is not far at all from Traverse City, and dry warm beds await you at Courtyard By Marriott Traverse City. Why not spend                  some time golfing at a nearby golf course like King's Challenge Golf Club, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Homestead while you're here. The sights at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore will blow your mind, and Lime Lake Campground is a great local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Get dripping wet paddling on Boardman River; you'll discover a pretty lake called Little Traverse Lake.
