So much cool stuff to do here in the Gogebic Range, too splendid to be true. Lily Pond is a tremendous spot to visit for more than one day, Preque Isle State Campground is a tremendous spot to camp nearby, and you can run the rapids of Carp River. All through the summer months at Lily Pond highs are regularly in the 70's. Summer night lows fall down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 10's while Lily Pond night       low temperatures during the winter are in the-10's. Now, you may assume that's plenty but there's even more fun stuff to do here at Lily Pond. A day on the slopes of Big Powderhorn Mountain is just what you need. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Ontonagon County Park Campground and Picnic Area; why not head up to Indianhead and strap some skis to your feet. Little Carp River is a great whitewater spot near Lily Pond, and there's great hiking                  along the Rainbow Falls Trail. Looking for something close to Lily Pond? Mirror Lake is close at hand, and do stop by Beaver Creek while you're here at Lily Pond. The Gogebic Range scenery is always beautiful.
