Why not camp at Michigamme Shores Campground while you're here at Lily Pond, and good hiking is available along the Holyoke Trail. I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a splendid time here at Lily Pond. There's whitewater on Yellow Dog River for all you adrenaline rush seekers, and if you like swamps you're in luck, Conway Creek is right nearby. The summit of Breakfast Roll can be seen from Lily Pond; the       smiling people of Marquette like to hang out close by. Summer at Lily Pond comes with high temperatures in the 70's, and the overnight is a tad cooler of course, generally in the 50's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are typically in the 20's; night lows at Lily Pond during the wintertime frequently descend into the 0's. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Salmon Trout River, and a splendid close by hotel                  is Best Western Country Inn. Lily Pond is a good place of normal precipitation; all through September this area sees the most rain while February is frequently the driest month. This lake is so wonderful.
