Leg Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Leelanau State Park is a wonderful local campground, and Leg Lake is not far at all from Traverse City. Whohoo, so many exciting things in one place! Leg Lake is peerless!. There are other sites here than Leg Lake, for example Bass Lake, and Bayshore Resort is a nice place to get some rest. There's so much to       do here at Leg Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Shady Trails Camp is a great spot for that, and Cat Head Bay is very near and is a good site to visit. The amount of rain that falls at Leg Lake is close to the national average; of all the months in a year September is the one with the most rain; February is the month with the least moisture. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Leg Lake with night lows in the 50's. The cold days of the winter                  come with highs in the 20's, and night lows in the 10's for Leg Lake.
