At 87 acres it is just the right size for watersports, yet not too busy to take away from the great fishing that the lake has to offer. Bluegill, sunfish, and bass are plentiful, as are the wretched Dogfish of the lake. An interesting fact about Lake Lavine is that the famous outlaw John Dillinger even stayed at his cottage on this Lake during his break from Crown Point, Indiana jail.
