The snow is great at Nubs Nob; hiking is a popular thing to do around Lant Lake; Mackinac Trail is a pleasant local trail. After a long day outdoors Town and Country Motel is a fine spot to spend a night or two, and Castle Rock Mackinac Trail is a good campground here. If you need a place to stay Kewadin Casino Lakefront Inn is a pleasant choice, and there's tremendous hiking along the North Country       Trail. Stay the night at Tiki Travel Park, and Hoban Creek is near Lant Lake and is always a bliss to go to. Castle Rock is clearly visible from Lant Lake, and don't leave Lant Lake without first going for a hike along the Horseshoe Bay Trail. Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place! Lant Lake is great! Near Lant Lake you discover a golf course called St Ignace Golf & Country Club, and do explore Chain Lake, it's a scenic lake. The annual rain here at Lant                  Lake is about average; September is when you get the most rain here; April meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. During the summertime at Lant Lake highs are ordinarily in the 70's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's.
