The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Skyline Ski Slide, and Lake James is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Sandyoak RV Resort is a fine local campground. Life's too short       to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff close to Lake James. If you need a place to stay Super 8 Motel - Houghton Lake is a nice choice, and for you golfers we recommend close by White Deer Country Club. For the duration of the summertime months, highs generally are in the 80's at Lake James, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.
