Michigan has many beautiful lakes and Laakso Lake is one of them. In the event that you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Au Train River, and the Bay De Noe Grand Island Trail is a good hiking trail nearby. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing stuff at Laakso Lake. South Branch Slapneck Creek is a stream that you may stumble upon during your stay; you'll hit upon a scenic lake called Silver Lake.

| | Laakso Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Laughing Whitefish Campground is a pleasant local campground, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Addis Lakes Ski Trail.

This lake is so wonderful. A nice location to camp here at Laakso Lake is Au Train Lake Campground, and if you're here, you
could also take a look at stunning Ginpole Lake. For the period of the summer here at Laakso Lake, high temperatures generally get into the 70's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 20's, and nighttime lows during the winter for Laakso Lake tend to be in the 10's.
