Hiking along the Horseshoe Lake Cycle Trail is glorious fun, and lots of folks from Muskegon-Norton Shores come here. You just should like Knowles Lake. Have a perfect hiking adventure along the Cedar Creek Cycle Trail; if you're here you can play some golf at Northwood Golf Course. You could also visit Martin Lake while you're here at Knowles Lake; it's close by, and a lake close by is Little Martin Lake. This       lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Newaygo County Snowmobile Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity; if you came to camp Lake Park Campground is a magnificent place to do that. Looking for some flowing water? Try Bowman Drain, and after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Muskegon is a splendid place to spend a night or two. Knowles Lake is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Hesperia Campground is a glorious local                  campground, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Whitehall Inn. Knowles Lake gets a normal amount of rain; most of the rain falls through August while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Summertime at Knowles Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and the night is a tad colder of course, generally in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Knowles Lake descend into the 10's.
