     Knight Lake is not the only place nearby, Van Lake is a nearby lake, and a magnificent close by hotel is Budget Host Inn Houghton. Michigamme Shores Campground is a delightful local campground, and if you need a place to stay Best Western Baraga Lakeside Inn is a delightful choice. This lake is so wonderful. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Slate River, and do check out Nestoria  
   Creek if you're here at Knight Lake. Looking for something near Knight Lake? Long Lake is in close proximity; Ravine River has a brilliant whitewater paddling spot nearby.
Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this spot. For the duration of the summer months, highs frequently are in the 70's at Knight Lake. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here

Craig Lake
This was a great time. A buddy of mine and I grabbed the canoe, tent, and fishing gear and headed out for a week. We overpacked, which made the reasonable portage quite difficult, though. After all the work, we were rewarded with a secluded island camp site about 30 minutes paddle from where we put in. I recommend this lake to anyone that likes to camp or fish. We caught a large number of Northern Pike and Smallmouth Bass while we were there, and were quite sad to leave. However, Bring bug repellent.....The horseflies during the day strike fear into the hearts of most mortal men and you can skin the mosquitos to make a coat....

I have loved the Peshekee for over 63 years, watching rocks appear and disappear with the seasons. It's a special day when kayakers also appear, usually in early spring. I'm afraid the time for good kayaking is over for this year. Sorry! By the way, there are plenty of good motels in Marquette. ...
