Lake Ella is a fine lake near Klees Pond; camping is available at Thunder Bay Resort. People from Alpena love to come to Klees Pond, and a scenic lake like Beechnut Lake is a perfect location to visit. Klees Pond gets a normal amount of annual precipitation; most of the rain falls during September, and the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Paradise Lodge Resort is a good location to camp; drift down
