Kinney Lake is a lake worth visiting. Dry warm beds await you at Big Rapids Super 8 Motel, and camping is available at White River Roughing Area Campground. High temperatures at Kinney Lake all through the summer are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. Highs throughout the winter are typically in the 20's, and nighttime lows at Kinney Lake during the wintertime commonly descend into the 0's.

Berger Pond is a fine lake close to Kinney Lake, and after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Big Rapids, Mi is a nice spot to spend a night or two. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Newaygo County Snowmobile Trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Big Bend Park is a fine place to camp.

for a glorious time. Take a hike on the Honeymoon Lake Snowmobile Trail, and during your tour here you'll meet some folks from Big Rapids for sure.

Rustic Camping also available on a limited basis. As of April 15, 2009 we have two seasonal electric sites available for rent this season. Rate is $700. 00 for the year. Our camping rates nightly are $12. 00 for non-power sites and $15. 00 for electrical sites. No running water/hand pump. No dump station. Outhouses and porta- potties in the busy summer season.
Excellent smallmouth & largemouth bass, northern pike, and walleye fishing on the backwaters to Croton Dam and also north about 5 miles on the backwaters of Hardy Dam. Spring steelhead runs, rainbow & german brown trout, and fall salmon runs down on the river itself below the dam.
We do not offer river services for the Little Muskegon River.
We do offer a car spotting service to take your vehicles down river while you boat, canoe, or kayak the river. We also provide transportation services for individuals and their own equipm... |
