Hiking along the Woods Trail is splendid fun, and hey, Gotta ski right? Crystal Mountain is a glorious spot to do that. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Indian Trail; dry warm beds await you at Little River Casino Resort. A typical amount of rain falls here at King Lake; September is when you get the most rain here while February is generally the driest month. King Lake is a perfect       location to camp, Orchard Beach State Park is a perfect location, and King Lake is not the only site close by, Shingle Mill Lake is a close by lake. Don't try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a great time here at King Lake. Golf can be played at Fox Hills Golf Course. You'll need more than a day to look at everything King Lake has to offer, you can camp at Lake Michigan Recreation Area. Little Manistee River flows through this area, and if you need a place to stay                  Microtel Manistee is a great choice. At King Lake during the warm months highs are in the 80's. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are commonly in the 20's while King Lake night low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's.
