Throughout the summer months here at Kates Lake, high temperatures commonly reach the 70's. Summer night lows dip down to the 50's. For the duration of the winter the highs are mostly in the 20's while Kates Lake overnight low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 0's. A typical amount of rain       falls here at Kates Lake; most of the rain falls during September, and February is the month with the least moisture. If you need a place to stay Best Western Country Inn is a great choice. There's so much to do here at Kates Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Horseshoe Lake Camp Grounds is a tremendous place for that. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such calm spots, why not check out Little Kates Lake in the neighborhood of Kates Lake, and                  whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Escanaba River - Middle Branch. Don't try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Kates Lake. Here at Kates Lake you'll probably meet some folks from Marquette, and if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Holyoke Trail.
