Skyline Ski Slide is a very popular ski area close at hand, and if you need a place to stay AuSable Valley Hotel and Conference Center is a great choice. Be careful       coming to Karen Lake, you might not ever want to go back home again. Hit the slopes at Hanson Hills nearby. High temperatures at Karen Lake throughout the long summer days are in the 80's with night lows in the 50's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Karen Lake. If you came for an overnight stay River Pond Campground is a pleasant place to camp; since you're here and you like golf, you                  can have a look at Grayling Country Club. This lake is so wonderful.
