What a nice lake June Lake is. Any time is a glorious time at June Lake if you adore the outdoors. Dry warm beds await you at Baymont Inn & Suites Grand Rapids North/Walker, and June Lake is not the only spot close by, Butterfield Lake is a close by lake. June Lake is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Parks and Recreation Dept is a splendid local campground, and you can have a magnificent hiking adventure along the Newaygo County Snowmobile Trail.

| | There's so much to do here at June Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Wierenga's Hess Lake Mobile Home is a good location for that, and some of the water close by flows, like Bigelow Creek. If you need a place to stay AmeriHost Inn Walker-Grand Rapids North is a nice choice, and if you've had enough of June Lake, Hess Lake is nearby. All through the summer months at June Lake highs are ordinarily in the 80's; the overnight is slightly cooler of course, generally | |

in the 50's. For the period of the winter the highs are mostly in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at June Lake fall into the 10's.
This lake is so wonderful. Near June Lake you hit upon a golf
course called Briar Hill Golf Course, and going for a hike along the Hungerford Cross Country Ski Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. June Lake gets a normal amount of rainfall; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain; February on the other hand is the driest.

Rustic Camping also available on a limited basis. As of April 15, 2009 we have two seasonal electric sites available for rent this season. Rate is $700. 00 for the year. Our camping rates nightly are $12. 00 for non-power sites and $15. 00 for electrical sites. No running water/hand pump. No dump station. Outhouses and porta- potties in the busy summer season.
Excellent smallmouth & largemouth bass, northern pike, and walleye fishing on the backwaters to Croton Dam and also north about 5 miles on the backwaters of Hardy Dam. Spring steelhead runs, rainbow & german brown trout, and fall salmon runs down on the river itself below the dam.
We do not offer river services for the Little Muskegon River.
We do offer a car spotting service to take your vehicles down river while you boat, canoe, or kayak the river. We also provide transportation services for individuals and their own equipment for a reasonable fee.
