From a rain point of view Jug Lake is a relatively common place; of all the months in a year September is the one with the most rain; February is the month with the least moisture. Go for a hike on the Big Island Lake Portage Canoe Trail, and a great site to camp here at Jug Lake is Wide Water       Campground. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Jug Lake. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Jug Lake dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. If you haven’t been to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, you ought to schedule some time for it while you're here, and dry warm beds await you at Americas Best Value Inn - Wetmore.
