Jones Pond is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Jones Pond is a perfect site to camp, Iron Mountain Campgrounds is a perfect site, and why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Timberstone Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. It's always pleasant to go to Big Quinnesec Falls. There are some delightful whitewater spots on Menominee River, and Big Quinnesec Dam is an exciting thing to check out.

| | to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in the neighborhood of Jones Pond. Stay the night at Rivers Bend Campground, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Iron Mountain here. A good close by hotel is Iron Mountain-Days Inn, and you're most likely addicted to lakes, Powder Lakes is one of those close by. After a long day outdoors America's Best Inn is a splendid spot to spend a night or two; Millie Hill is painless to spot from Jones Pond.

amount of precipitation; all through the month of September you get the most rain around here; the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful. Norway Mountain has good slopes and a friendly staff, and whitewater
paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Pemebonwon - North Branch. Summertime highs at Jones Pond mostly tend to be in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime
come with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Jones Pond dipping down into the-10's during winter nights.
