All through the summer here at Jewell Lake, high temperatures generally get into the 80's while night lows are ordinarily in the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Jewell Lake. The Devils Lake Trail is a splendid hiking trail near Jewell Lake, and a lake nearby is Tubbs Lake. Ausable Cabins is a pleasant campground nearby; if you're here you       will meet lots of folks from close by Alpena. What a location this is for outdoors people. Jewell Lake gets a normal amount of precipitation; September is when you get the most rain here, and February meanwhile is the driest month. After a long day outdoors Alpena-Days Inn is a fine place to spend a night or two, and if you came for an overnight stay Alcona Canoe Rental and Campground is a great site to camp. This lake is so wonderful.
