Why not camp at Raccoon Campground while you're here at Jay Lake; in all probability you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, High Lake is just a very short distance away. Now, you may think that's loads but there's       even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Jay Lake. This is a good vicinity for folks who like lakes. Kerr Lake is a lake close at hand. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Wild Eagle Lodge is a great choice, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Ontonagon River - Middle Branch. At Jay Lake throughout the summer months highs are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. All                  through the winter this place gets highs in the 10's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Jay Lake.
