Take a hike on the Pelkie Creek Hunter Walking Trails, and if you need a spot to stay Best Western Baraga Lakeside Inn is a fine choice. It's a magnificent idea to visit Burns Creek, it's near Jackson Lakes, and a tremendous nearby hotel is Budget Host Inn Houghton. Jackson Lakes is a good site of common precipitation; during August this area sees the most rain while February is the month with the least amount       of precipitation. For you golfers we recommend close by L'Anse Golf Club, and a great place for whitewater paddling is Falls River. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Jackson Lakes. Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Jackson Lakes fall into the 0's. That right there is a lot already, but it continues; Jackson Lakes has it                  all. This lake is so wonderful.
