This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Holiday Inn Express CHELSEA is a great choice, and paddling on Huron River is so much fun. During the warm months at Island Lake temperatures are regularly in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's, and       night lows at Island Lake through the winter usually sink into the 10's. A wonderful close by hotel is Comfort Inn Chelsea, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Timber Trace Golf Club is in close proximity. From Island Lake you get a splendid sight of Prospect Hill, and a delightful location to camp here at Island Lake is Timberland Campground. Island Lake is not the only spot close by, Clarks Lake is a close by lake. You definitely                  have to fancy Island Lake. A day on the slopes of Mount Brighton is just what you need, and a lake nearby is Gorman Lake.
