Having a perfect time at Island Lake is easy. Hiking along the Haywire Grade ORV Trail is wonderful fun; if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Hay Meadow Creek. Island Lake gets a normal amount of yearly precipitation; throughout September this area sees the most rain; the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Big Island       Lake Portage Canoe Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. There's so much to do here at Island Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Indian Lake Travel Resort is a pleasant spot for that. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Island Lake. Summer night lows dip down to the 50's. Through the winter highs are generally in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Island Lake.
