Lake David is a lake nearby; if you came to camp Lyons Landing & Travel Trailer is a good spot to do that. Island Lake gets a normal amount of annual rainfall; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Lakes are wonderful; Penoger Lake is a lake that's next to Island Lake; Island Lake is splendid enough to spend more       than a day at, Alcona Canoe Rental and Campground is a splendid local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Island Lake there are plenty of folks from Alpena. High temperatures at Island Lake all through the summertime months are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's.
