There's so much to do here at Irwin Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Wide Water Campground is a great place for that; dry warm beds await you at AmericInn Munising. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Comfort Inn Munising is a wonderful choice; nearby you locate the Haywire Grade ORV Trail which is a great hiking trail. An average amount       of rainfall falls at Irwin Lake; through September this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. Irwin Lake is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Island Lake Campground is a magnificent local campground; if the weather is nice, you can go for a hike along the Big Island Lake Portage Canoe Trail. Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is one of the destinations in close proximity to Irwin Lake that are pleasant to go to, and                  the Valley Spur Ski Trail is a delightful hiking trail close by. Throughout the warm days of summer, highs commonly are in the 70's at Irwin Lake. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Irwin Lake plunge into the 0's. This is a perfect region for people who like lakes.
