If you are in Allegan county it's always a good idea to stop by Ingerson Lake. Summer at Ingerson Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Ingerson Lake are in the 10's. | | Motel is a brilliant place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby lakes? Sure, East Lake is in close proximity to Ingerson Lake, and Kalamazoo River has a splendid whitewater paddling spot close by.

A day on the slopes of Bittersweet is just what you need, and while you're here you will meet lots of
folks from close by Allegan. This place, Ingerson Lake, it just has so much outdoors cool stuff. Camping at Schnable Lake Family Campground is always a great experience, and playing golf is lots of fun at Lake Monterey Golf Course.

Bittersweet
 | Bittersweet has enormous snow-making capacity and is consistently the first to open in SW Michigan. Their vertical is only 350 ft, but that's about 100 more than any other resort in SW Michigan. As noted, their lift system is impressive, particularly the high speed detachable quad, but lines can get a little long on late December weekends. Their terrain park has a good variety of boxes, jumps, etc. Very friendly people....Yea you guys rock i love the snow...Ahh yes, Bittersweet Ski Area... Michigan skiing at it's very best. The drops in these part of the country are not that impressive but I think Bittersweet makes the most of it. I do recommend this ski area.... |

It is not very big, but all of the employees are cool and you never have to wait in line to get on the lift. They sometimes seem to overestimate the amount of snow that they have also. I sometimes wonder if they actually measure the snowpiles that have been plowed in the parking lot instead of what is actually on the hill.... |
