This is no place for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Stay the night at Hancock Recreation Area, and Otter River - West Branch has a great whitewater paddling spot close by. Visiting Isle Royale National Park is just something you need to do if you haven't yet, and in case you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Gratiot River. Throughout the months of summer highs here at Huron Lake reach the 70's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures
sink down into the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Huron Lake. Go for a hike on the Pelkie Creek Hunter Walking Trails, and Atlantic Point is in the vicinity and always good to stop by.
