Camping is available at Parks and Recreation Dept, and a great close by hotel is Holiday Inn Big Rapids, Mi. So many enjoyable things to do here at Hoyt Lake, too good to be true. Hiking along the Honeymoon Lake Snowmobile Trail is pleasant fun; a pleasant spot to camp here at Hoyt Lake is Big Bend Park. For the duration of the summertime at Hoyt Lake temperatures are typically       in the 80's while nighttime lows are regularly in the 50's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 20's with temperatures at Hoyt Lake dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. Why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Briar Hill Golf Course, and do pop by Rattlesnake Creek since you're here at Hoyt Lake. A lake nearby is Alley Lake, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Newaygo County Snowmobile Trail. You                  could also stop by Trout Lake since you're here at Hoyt Lake; it's close by, and Hoyt Lake is right by the Hungerford Cross Country Ski Trail.
