Sure, Trout Lake is nearby. What a spot this is for outdoors people. There are good spots to explore along the Honeymoon Lake Snowmobile Trail, and nearby you hit upon the Newaygo County Snowmobile Trail which is a nice hiking trail. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Hoyt Lake, and the overnight is a tad chillier of course, generally in the 50's.       The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Hoyt Lake. From a precipitation point of view Hoyt Lake is a quite typical place; most of the rain falls during August; the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. For you golfers we recommend nearby Briar Hill Golf Course, and why not camp at Big Bend Park since you're here at Hoyt Lake. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you                  can always explore nearby Alley Lake, and Parks and Recreation Dept is a great local campground.
