Going for a hike along the Lincoln Mills Snowmobile Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and Beaver Lake Camp Grounds is a wonderful campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Rodeway Inn Cadillac is a great spot to get some rest, and if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Caberfae Way Snowmobile Trail. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Pine River. Lakes are such calm locations, why not pop by Stowell Lake near Howe Lake; if you came for an overnight stay Hammarstead Lake Camp Ground is a perfect site to camp.  | Actually, the best paddling on the Pine River is below Lincoln, and especially in the section from Dobson Bridge to Low Bridge (approximately 21 miles). there are numerous CI rapids from about 20 minutes US from Dobson to about 20 minutes US from Low Bridge. Unfortunately, due to livery traffic the river is kept cleared to excess. Most of the leaning trees and logjams that make padding interesting have been removed so the drunken rental boat paddlers don't get into trouble.... |
