If you are in Benzie county it's always a good idea to stop by Horseshoe Lake. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Crystal Mountain, and a pretty lake like Black Lake is a perfect location to take a look at. This lake is so wonderful. A nice close by hotel is Paradise Hollow Resort, and the skiing at Homestead is wonderful. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors cool things the area in the neighborhood of Horseshoe Lake has to offer. You'll need more than

| | a day to look at everything Horseshoe Lake has to offer, you can camp at Sunnywoods Platte River, and a round of golf at nearby Mistwood Golf Course is a tremendous way to kill some time.

You can run the rapids of Boardman River in the neighborhood of Horseshoe Lake, and Horseshoe Lake is a great place to camp, Lime Lake Campground
is a great place. All through the long summer days here at Horseshoe Lake, high temperatures regularly reach the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 20's
while Horseshoe Lake nighttime low temperatures through the winter are in the 10's. Horseshoe Lake gets a normal amount of yearly precipitation; the month of September is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is February.
