Homer Lake is a pleasant place to visit for more than one day, Lighthouse Village is a pleasant place to camp nearby; after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Marshall is a fine place to spend a night or two. From a rainfall point of view Homer Lake is a pretty normal site; most of the rain falls all through September while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. | | location to visit, and near Homer Lake you come across a golf course called Jenkins Restaurant & Golf Course. At Homer Lake through the summer months highs are in the 80's while overnight lows are frequently in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Homer Lake. This lake is so wonderful. This is a popular location for folks from Battle Creek. It's wooded, has a decent swiming area, fishing, nice playground, and the bathrooms are quite clean. Also, the people are friendly and they don't overcharge by too much in the camp store. There are badmitten, volleyball nets and horseshoe pits. I would certainly return.... |
