Hit the slopes at Treetops Sylvan in close proximity, and if you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Sturgeon River. Hoffman Lake is a good location of common rain; the month with most of the rain is September, and February is the month with the least moisture.       This lake is so wonderful. A lake nearby is Kidney Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Quality Inn Gaylord. There's so much to do here at Hoffman Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Lakes Of The North Campground is a pleasant location for that, and after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express GAYLORD is a pleasant site to spend a night or two. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting stuff at Hoffman Lake. Bows Lake is a                  nearby lake that you could stop by; Boyne Mountain has nice slopes and a friendly staff. Through the warm days of summer, highs commonly are in the 70's at Hoffman Lake while night lows are frequently in the 50's.
