Detroit Point is in close proximity to Higgins Lake and is a brilliant site to visit, and lovely scenery and great skiing is what you get at Skyline Ski Slide. Lakes? Sure, Marl Lake is in the vicinity, and for you golfers we recommend close by Burning Oak Country Club. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location. Skiing at Hanson Hills is one of those things you just ought to do. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Higgins Lake has to offer,

Super 8 Grayling is a perfect site to get some rest, and Higgins Lake is a good place to visit for more than one day, Roscoe Mc Higgins Campground is a good place to camp nearby. They always have something going on for the kids, I think that's great.?? Clean pool, well kept grounds.....it's a great place to vacation.?? See ya there, Patty...My wife and I have stayed there for 2 years now and we'll be paying for next year in advance very soon .Dave and Tina are two of the nicest Owners you ever could ask for.The campground is excellent. The pool ,pond,train rides and all the other activities will keep even the bored kids wanting to come back every weekend.Just ask our niece !Its quiet,shady and sites are BIG .So don't delay, and I hope to meet you soon ,Jeff Kocur -lot #21... |

Treetops Sylvan
 | 25 miles away 3 PHOTOS ...s the 400-acre winter park. Snowboarders are welcome at Treetops. They are allowed on the entire ski area and have a new terrain park with 12 features for their own private use.The new terrain park contains 2 flat 10' beginner rails as well as a 20' intermediate round rail. There are some challenging additions such as a beginner 16' battle ship kinked rail as well as a 16' intermediate rainbow rail. In addition, there are man-made and natural jib features such as barrels, and logs that can be used to slide or jump over or tap with skis or boards. Nordic enthusiasts will find the ''Midwest's best terrain'' for cross-country skiing. The 12 km of groomed and tracked trails are all clearly marked and range in difficulty from beginner to expert. Treetops also offers extreme (snow) tubing. The tubing ride is available by 1.5 hour sessions for up to 30 people at a time. Advance reservations can be made for this exhilarating experience.
