After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Plainwell is a glorious spot to spend a night or two; unsurprisingly, this is a brilliant area for folks who like lakes, Wetheral Lake is a lake close by. Get your heart pumping on the delightful whitewater of Kalamazoo River. Hicks Lake gets a normal amount of annual rain; September is when you get the most rain here; the driest month of the year is February. There's just no       way somebody can get bored here at Hicks Lake. Really pleasant skiing awaits you at Bittersweet; playing golf is lots of fun at Prairiewood Golf Course. Dry warm beds await you at Kalamazoo Super 8 Motel. There's so much to do here at Hicks Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Schnable Lake Family Campground is a magnificent spot for that. Timber Ridge has great slopes and a friendly staff; while you're here you will meet lots of folks from nearby Allegan.                  Through the days of summer highs here at Hicks Lake get into the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 30's with temperatures at Hicks Lake dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights. This lake is so wonderful.
