     Camping at Milakokia Lake Campground is always a great experience, and swamps can be such attention-grabbing places, stop at Swan Marsh since you're here at Heinz Lake. For the period of the days of summer at Heinz Lake highs are usually in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 20's while Heinz Lake night low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful.  
   If you're here at Heinz Lake, you could stop by North Branch Milakokia River; Heinz Lake is not the only location nearby, Cranberry Lake is a nearby lake. After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Newberry is a good site to spend a night or two.
A lake nearby is Loon Lake, and Heinz Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Michihistrigan Mini-golf is a good local campground. A typical amount of rain falls here at Heinz Lake; the month of September is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is the month with the least moisture.
