There's so much to do here at Headquarters Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Oak Grove Campground is a pleasant place for that, and lakes are such peaceful locations, why not visit Fife Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Pickerel Lake is a great lake close to Headquarters Lake, and Headquarters Lake is not far at all from Cadillac. Man, is there       loads of enjoyable things to do in close proximity to Headquarters Lake. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Caberfae Peaks is near Headquarters Lake. From a rainfall point of view Headquarters Lake is a pretty normal spot; during the month of September you get the most rain around here, and February is when it's the driest. Headquarters Lake is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Lake Billings Campgrounds is a splendid local campground, and Grand                  Traverse Resort & Spa is a tremendous spot to get some rest. Throughout the months of summer at Headquarters Lake temperatures are generally in the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's.
