Erickson Creek is near Haywire Lake and is always a joy to explore, and the snow is great at Ski Brule. A great place to camp here at Haywire Lake is Lower Dam Lake Campground, and of course, this is a fine area for people who like lakes, Beck Lake is a lake nearby. Haywire Lake gets a normal amount of rainfall; August is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. Now, you may think that's lots but there's even more cool

After a long day outdoors Best Western Baraga Lakeside Inn is a wonderful site to spend a night or two, and why not camp at Lake Ste. Kathryn Campground if you're here at Haywire Lake. Walking Trails, and if you come at the right time of year, Perch River offers some magnificent whitewater. All through the summertime here at Haywire Lake, high temperatures regularly get into the 80's, and the overnight is a
tad cooler of course, generally in the 50's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 20's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Haywire Lake fall into the 0's.
