Barker Creek flows through this region; Smith Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by. This lake is so wonderful. Haynes Lake is a great spot to visit for more than one day, Torch Grove Campgrounds is a great spot to camp nearby, and a lake nearby is Darby Lake. Haynes Lake is a good site of normal       rain; the month with most of the rain is September, and February is the month with the least moisture. I don't want to stop, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Haynes Lake. At Haynes Lake during the summertime months highs are in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's; nighttime lows all through the wintertime for Haynes Lake tend to be in the 10's. Econo Lodge Kalkaska is a wonderful spot                  to get some rest.
