Head up to Shanty Creek and strap some skis to your feet; after a long day outdoors Grand Traverse Resort & Spa is a brilliant spot to spend a night or two. Barker Creek flows through this region; Smith Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by. This lake is so wonderful. Haynes Lake is a great spot to visit for more than one day, Torch Grove Campgrounds is a great spot to camp nearby, and a lake nearby is Darby Lake. Haynes Lake is a good site of normal

At Haynes Lake during the summertime months highs are in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's.
